The West Chicago Voice has partnered with DuPage County Animal Services to connect readers looking to adopt a fur babe with a more than adorable, adoptable Pet of the Week. A dog or cat available for adoption at the Dupage County-operated shelter will appear each Friday.

Once a stray, Clarissa was discovered alongside her precious litter of kittens. Clarissa is a stunning vision in black and white, her unique coat reflecting the duality of her journey. She has left mom life behind and is ready to play and explore as queen of her new home! Clarissa loves to rub against your hand for pets and enjoys playing with her feather toy. Behind her gentle eyes lies a spirit of quiet curiosity, forever seeking knowledge and understanding of her surroundings. She’s the kind of companion who will really blossom in her new home! This gentle girl is seeking a calm and peaceful home environment. A serene household will allow Clarissa to flourish, embracing her quiet nature and providing her with the perfect sanctuary to feel safe and secure. When she gets comfortable, she seeks out attention and loves to jump around and find the perfect perch to gaze out on her domain. While Clarissa may have had a challenging past, her resilience and capacity for love shine through. It’s important to note that Clarissa is FIV positive. With proper care and love, FIV-positive cats can lead long, healthy lives. Clarissa simply needs a caring guardian who understands the condition and is committed to providing her with the necessary support. |
