October is Eat Better, Eat Together Month. This month, take the time to focus on eating better and in the company of others. Seniors can celebrate this month with the Dupage Senior Citizen Council’s Community Dining Program.

Their Community Dining locations offer nutritious meals to seniors as well as the opportunity to eat and socialize with others.

MEALS AND COMMUNITY FOR ACTIVE SENIORS

There are many seniors who are still active and like to get out as much as they can. That is why DSCC has several dining centers throughout DuPage County where seniors can gather together and share a meal.

It’s known that keeping seniors active and engaged is important to their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The DSCC Community Dining service offers an ever-changing menu of fresh items as well as the opportunity for seniors to socialize with other seniors. Many of the Community Dining Centers even feature different food and cultural themes to bring even more fun.

Managed by a friendly staff and volunteers, the Community Dining Centers coordinate a variety of social activities to keep the seniors involved and engaged.
