The West Chicago Voice is announcing our holiday hours for the upcoming holiday. As a volunteer-driven effort, the West Chicago Voice has been providing invaluable local news coverage and informative journalism throughout the year and we’re so excited and looking forward to an awesome newsy 2024! We’re planning on taking some time off from publishing between the Christmas and New Year holidays but we’ll be working behind the scenes in the office to help plan for 2024.
During this holiday period, the West Chicago Voice will not be published from Monday, December 25 through Tuesday, January 2.
However, in the event of any breaking local news or should the unfortunate need for obituaries arise, the dedicated team at the West Chicago Voice will be ready to serve the community promptly and we will resume publishing so we can bring you the important information you need.
During this time frame we will be planning our year ahead, compiling data and producing our media kit, working on our editorial calendar and preparing promotion schedules.
As the year comes to a close, the West Chicago Voice extends its heartfelt gratitude to the readers, advertisers, supporters, and contributors who have made this community-driven endeavor possible
The West Chicago community has been incredibly welcoming and supportive of what we are doing and we appreciate the love very much. As a community, we are grateful you have recognized the importance of local journalism in West Chicago and we are dedicated to continuing this journey
While we are committed to being a free news source with no paid subscriptions or paywalls. In 2024 we will begin to offer community members and organizations different ways of supporting what we are doing, such as adding “Buy us a coffee” option and seasonal donations. By doing so, community members can contribute directly to the sustainable growth and development of our daily publication. Every donation will help our effort to ensure that the voice of West Chicago remains vibrant and thriving. Together, we can bolster local journalism and amplify the essence of our community.
This holiday season, we join together to celebrate the accomplishments of the West Chicago community while remembering the significance of independent reporting that connects everyone in our hometown.
