West Chicago High School to Host Annual Blue and White Night Friday Night

West Chicago Community High School is inviting the community to come together on Friday, August 22, for the 16th Annual Wildcat Blue/White Night. The free festival will kick off at 3:45 p.m. and run until the conclusion of the varsity soccer scrimmage, celebrating the start of the fall athletic season.

The evening will feature scrimmages, team recognitions, and spirited performances, showcasing the talents of Wildcat athletes across multiple sports. Families and community members can also enjoy concessions and support the booster club by purchasing apparel, making the event both festive and supportive of school athletics.

Events begin at 3:45 p.m. with freshman soccer and girls tennis, followed by a steady lineup including volleyball, swimming, golf, flag football, and cross country. Recognition ceremonies for girls tennis, girls swimming, and volleyball will also be held throughout the evening. Performances from the dance and cheer teams, along with a marching band show, will add to the excitement beginning at 6:45 p.m.

While the football team will be scrimmaging at Romeoville High School this year (JV at 5:30 p.m. and Varsity at 6:30 p.m.), Wildcat fans can look forward to a full slate of home activities. The night will close with the highly anticipated soccer JV vs. Varsity scrimmage at 7:00 p.m.

Athletic Director Nick Parry and the Wildcats encourage all residents to come out, enjoy the festivities, and show their support. “The event always provides a family-friendly atmosphere and a chance to bring our community together as we kick off another exciting year of Wildcat athletics,” the school shared.
