West Chicago Food Festival Brings Flavor and Fun Downtown This Saturday , parking Restrictions in Place,

Sharing is Caring, WeGo!

West Chicago is set to celebrate its annual Food Festival this Saturday, August 23, offering an evening of delicious food, live entertainment, and community fun. The event will feature a variety of local and regional food vendors, sampling opportunities, beverages, and family-friendly activities in the heart of downtown.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for festivalgoers, several downtown street closures will be in effect on Saturday, August 23, from 10 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. Galena Street between Main Street and High Street will be closed, as well as Main Street from Turner Street to W. Washington Street. Officials caution that any vehicles left on these streets after the posted closing times will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Turner Court will remain accessible to residents and vendors during the event, but only from Washington Street. On Saturday, August 24, from 11 a.m. until 11:59 p.m., traffic flow will be reversed for one-way access. Residents will still be able to park in and access the Turner Court lot.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets, as limited on-site seating will be available. Coolers and outside food or beverages are not permitted.

With great food, music, and activities for all ages, the West Chicago Food Festival is sure to be a highlight of the summer. Residents and visitors alike are invited to come downtown, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate community togetherness.
