Manuela “Nelly” Tellez-Borjon,age 47, of Carol Stream, passed away August 16, 2025. She was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on July 13, 1978 to Juan and Manuela Borjon. Nelly was very creative and enjoyed crocheting, reading, singing and belonging to her prayer group. She was a loving wife and mother who loved her family dearly.
Nelly is survived by her loving husband Osvaldo; children, Bianca, Christian, Pablo, Santiago and Imanol; mother, Manuela Borjon (Cabral); siblings, Jose Juan (Rosa) Borjon, Eduardo (Norma) Borjon, Gabriel (Martha) Borjon, Joaquin (Roberta) Borjon, Maria Borjon (Jose Cortes), and Carlos Borjon; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Juan Borjon and sister, Rebeca Borjon (Eulalio Magallanes).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont Street (One block north of Washington St. & Main St.) Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church, 164 N. Oakwood Ave., West Chicago, IL at 12:00 p.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
At the request of the Nelly’s family please wear black on Sunday for the visitation and for Monday please wear colors Nelly really liked (pinks and dark blues) or any color you feel comfortable wearing.
