After enjoying the warmest day of the year on Sunday, The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a warning for severe storms, including possible tornadoes. Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to move in from the west late Tuesday afternoon through the evening, bringing with them the threat of damaging hail, high winds, and tornadoes.
While meteorologists are still uncertain about the exact impact and timing of the storms as of Monday afternoon, scattered showers and non-severe thunderstorms are forecasted for Tuesday morning. Winds from the southwest will intensify throughout the day, with gusts reaching 30 to 40 mph by the afternoon.
Following Tuesday’s severe weather, another round of bad weather is predicted for Wednesday morning into the afternoon on hump day. Windy conditions will persist, with gusts potentially exceeding 40 mph.
Before the arrival of the severe weather, Today is expected to be another gorgeous day, with temperatures climbing as high as 73 to 79 degrees.
