Did you know…

The City of West Chicago offers parking permit options for commuters.

As more and more people return to in-person work, the convenience and efficiency of taking the Metra train is becoming increasingly appealing. Commuters can avoid traffic congestion and save on fuel costs, making train travel a smart choice. The city of West Chicago is making it even easier by offering permits for commuters to park at one of its designated parking lots. Here’s some information about these lots and the associated costs to park in each.

✅DEPOT Commuter Parking✅

-There are three lots available for commuter parking. Both the Permit Parking Lot and two Daily Parking Lots are located at 500 Main Street and 542 Main Street Main Street in downtown West Chicago. Handicap parking is located in the Permit Lot, near the train depot.
-A permit must be obtained in order to park in this area. All permitted vehicles must display their permits from the inside rearview mirror of the vehicle so that the permit number and expiration date may be visible from the front of the vehicle.
– Interested parties can apply for a permit in person at City Hall, 475 Main St.
-HEAD IN parking only. (This does not mean go ahead and go in.)
– Daily parking is $1.75 for a 24-hour period. Payment can be made with cash or a credit card at the pay-by-space machines located at the south end of the parking lot.
– No daily parking fee and/or parking permit will be required on Saturday, Sunday and the following legal holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
