Illinois Congressional Republican challenger Niki Conforti has released internal polling data showing a competitive race against incumbent Democrat Sean Casten. The poll, conducted by Cor Strategies, indicates that Casten holds 44% of the vote to Conforti’s 35%, with 21% of voters still undecided.
“This polling indicates what many have sensed for some time,” said Conforti. “Voters across the district are becoming more informed about the issues that matter most to them, such as crime, the economy, and border security.”
The poll surveyed 500 likely voters between June 3rd and June 6th and has a margin of error of +/- 3.35 percentage points.
IL-06 has drawn significant attention from both local and national Republicans since Sean Casten unseated former Congressman Peter Roskam in 2018. The district, which encompasses large parts of DuPage County, was redrawn in 2021 to include parts of the Southwest Side of Chicago and surrounding Cook County suburbs.
