St. Andrew Lutheran Church invites the community to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage at its annual St. Andrew Mexican Festival on Saturday, Aug. 17. The event will take place from noon to 8 p.m. at the church, located at 155 N Prince Crossing Rd.
The festival will feature a variety of traditional Mexican performances, including Danza Guadalupana, Danza de la Pluma de San Pablo Guila Oaxaca, Danza Multicultural de la Iglesia San Andres, and a Mariachi performance by Mariachi Aurora. The event will also include performances by Comparza Huitzilin and Grupo Folklorico Mexico Magico de Belvidere, Ill., as well as entertainment from Luis Vargas and Los Mixes del Sabor.
In addition to live entertainment, the festival will offer authentic Mexican food and family-friendly activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring their friends and family to enjoy the cultural festivities.
