Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at Wayne Township, 27W031 North Avenue, West Chicago, IL. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comments regarding the request for two Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) fundings which are to be submitted to the DuPage Community Development Commission for Flood Drainage Improvements and Parks/Recreational Facility Improvements. The projects for which funding is being requested are: Wayne Township – Up to $600,000 for the improvement of the Wayne Township Pond on the south end of the Wayne Township property. Up to $300,000 for the clearing and enhancement of the park located on the southwest area of the Township grounds. Persons interested in commenting on the above projects may do so in person at the public hearing. Comments on the above activities may also be submitted in writing to Wayne Township, Attn: Supervisor Randy Ramey, 27W031 North Avenue, West Chicago, IL 60185. Written comments will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. September 5th, 2024.
