WEST CHICAGO, Ill. — A tragic shooting in West Chicago Saturday evening left two people dead and one injured, authorities reported.
Police responded to a call around 6:14 p.m. after a witness noticed a vehicle in the 700 block of West Forest Avenue and contacted authorities. Officers arrived on the scene to find two individuals deceased inside the vehicle, both with apparent gunshot wounds. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
A third man, reportedly involved in the incident, sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and sought medical attention prior to police arrival. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. A second suspect has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned by detectives.
