The West Chicago Voice has partnered with DuPage County Animal Services to connect readers looking to adopt a fur babe with a more than adorable, adoptable Pet of the Week. A dog, cat, or small animal available for adoption at the Dupage County-operated shelter will appear each Thursday.
Meet Bistro, the charming pittie mix who thinks he’s a lap dog (all 56 pounds of him)! This wiggly wonder has mastered the art of the happy dance whenever someone walks by his kennel. While shelter life isn’t his favorite scene, Bistro keeps his spirits high and his tail wagging.
Already a star student when it comes to leash walking (though he might occasionally forget his manners when squirrels are involved), Bistro would love a human friend to help him polish his skills through positive reinforcement training. He’s shown all the signs of being a social butterfly with other dogs, making him a potential playdate superstar.
