WHEATON, IL — Meet our Pet of the Week: a curious, blue-eyed goat who recently wandered into the hearts (and shelter) of DuPage County Animal Services. Found near Taylor Drive in Winfield, this uniquely marked goat with striking horns and expressive features was brought to the shelter on June 3, 2025, and is now waiting to be claimed or, possibly, adopted.
With animal ID A58628128, this friendly fellow is currently under the care of staff at DCAS, located at 2255 Manchester Road in Wheaton. While it’s not every day a goat turns up as a stray in DuPage County, he’s settled in well at the shelter—and made quite the impression.
Anyone who may recognize the goat or has information about an owner is urged to contact the shelter at 630-407-2800. As always, animals that arrive at DCAS are scanned for identification and monitored for health and well-being. There is no deadline for reclaim, and this goat’s status will be updated on the DCAS website should he become available for adoption.
