The DuKane ABATE chapter held its monthly membership meeting Tuesday evening at the American Legion Post #300 in West Chicago, drawing a crowd of passionate motorcyclists and community advocates. The evening was filled with lively discussion, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to protecting the rights and freedoms of motorcyclists across the region.
The agenda covered a variety of important topics related to motorcycle legislation, safety, and the ongoing work of ABATE (A Brotherhood Aimed Toward Education) to preserve riders’ rights. Attendees exchanged ideas and updates, continuing the grassroots efforts that are at the heart of the organization.
In true tradition, longtime member “Knucklehead Bob” kept the room smiling by voting “no” on every motion brought to the floor—an expected and endearing part of the meeting’s routine.
A highlight of the evening was the 50/50 raffle, which saw Joe O’Reilly take home the winning ticket. In a generous gesture, O’Reilly donated his winnings back to the chapter, reinforcing the strong sense of unity and support within the group.
