Jack in the Box Coming to Geneva Road in Carol Stream This Fall

Sharing is Caring, WeGo!

Carol Stream, IL — After more than four decades without a single location in the Chicago suburbs, Jack in the Box is finally making its return—and one of the newest restaurants will be just down the road from West Chicago.

The upcoming Jack in the Box is set to open in September 2025 at 441 E. Geneva Road in Carol Stream, giving local residents their first taste of the West Coast favorite without having to travel far. The location was confirmed by both the official Jack in the Box website and a recent article from 1520 The Ticket, which highlighted the chain’s aggressive national expansion strategy.

This Carol Stream store is one of three new locations expected to open in September across the Chicago area, along with spots in New Lenox and Chicago (S. Cicero Ave). It follows the recent launch of restaurants in Countryside, Plainfield, Lake in the Hills, Naperville, and Tinley Park, as Jack in the Box rapidly re-establishes its presence across northern Illinois.

Jack in the Box is not only known for its eclectic menu of burgers, tacos, curly fries, and late-night eats—but also for its place in fast food history. The company was the first fast-food chain to introduce the two-way intercom drive-thru system, revolutionizing the speed and convenience of takeout dining.

With its return to the Midwest, the brand brings more than nostalgia—it brings jobs, variety, and a new late-night option to local dining scenes.

Stay tuned to West Chicago Voice for updates on the exact opening date and grand opening events once they’re announced.
