The West Chicago Voice has partnered with DuPage County Animal Services to connect readers looking to adopt a fur babe with a more than adorable, adoptable Pet of the Week. A dog or cat available for adoption at the Dupage County-operated shelter will appear each Friday.
Meet Catfish, affectionately…known as Fishy!
Catfish’s foster needs to return her to the shelter on September 18 and she does NOT do well in the shelter. After being from a home with 32 other dogs, Catfish deserves the very best from all of us!
Catfish and 32 furry friends came to the shelter from the same home. She’s a survivor and a fighter! Thanks to the care at the shelter and the nurturing of her foster family, Catfish is now healthy and healing both physically and emotionally. Catfish is on the lookout for a special forever home. She’d thrive as the only dog in the household, and a home with adults only would be perfect. This smart girl is always up for learning new tricks and enjoys snuggles with her favorite humans, followed by playtime with her beloved toys.
While she might be a bit shy around new faces, all it takes is a few tasty treats to win her over. Catfish is also a pro at housetraining!
