Virginia Eileen Tobin, 77, of Winfield Illinois, passed away on September 29, 2023 after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by her three loving daughters while she passed peacefully to Christ’s loving arms.
Virginia was born on September 2, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Leslie and Esther Oliver of Hillside, Illinois.
She is survived by her daughters, Lesley Nygaard of Palm Beach, Florida, Barbara Burke (Brian)of Kyle, Texas, Eileen Tobin of St Charles, Illinois, and her grandchildren Hali, Kyra, Joshua, Trevor, Liam, Nora, and Declan.
She is also survived by her sister Mary Rynerson (Dave) in Minnesota.
Virginia, Virg, as she was know by those closest to her, enjoyed a long career at St John the Baptist Church and School in Winfield, Illinois, where she assisted with Preschool and Kindergartners and taught religious education.
Virg was blessed to receive a double organ transplant in July of 2014. Her family will always be grateful for the almost 10 more years they enjoyed with her. Those who knew her were impressed by her ability to bounce back from many physical setbacks. She was like a cat with nine lives, the Energizer bunny, or the unsinkable Molly Brown. She seemed indestructible and invincible which makes this sudden passing all the more heartbreaking.
She was well loved by her extended family and church community. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
