Police Training Exercises:

The West Chicago Police Department will continue training on High Street through November 9th between the hours of 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Residents should not be alarmed if they notice a larger-than-usual police presence or vehicles in the area.

Graffiti Reward:

West Chicago Police recently shared that they are seeking the public’s assistance and offering a reward of up to $250 to anyone with information that leads to the identification of the subject(s) responsible for the increase in graffiti in and around town.   If you have any information, please contact the WCPD Investigations Unit at 630-293-2222.

New Officer Joins Force:

In other police department news, West Chicago has added a new officer to its rolls. Officer Daniel Schane was sworn in during a ceremony that found his friends, family, and colleagues in attendance, and led by West Chicago Police Chief Collin Fleury. Chief Fleury emphasized that the new officer is now part of a bigger community comprised of law enforcement, the city,  as well as the greater WeGo community, all ready to support him in his new role.

Schane joins the WeGo Police force with an impressive resume as a public servant. Officer Schane not only has law enforcement experience with both the Orland Park Police Department and the Winfield Police Department. He has also previously served as a licensed paramedic for the Wheaton Fire Department.
