Dan Bovey, the West Chicago bilingual Pastor and resident fighting the City of West Chicago over the building and completion of a Geodesic greenhouse in their property, announced Friday that the case will be moving to DuPage Circuit court and their attorney will also be filing a defamation suit against the City of West Chicago. He claimed the city posted over 40 untrue and defamatory statements on their website in response to media reports and social media pressure by supporters of the greenhouse. The residents have faced off with the city through multiple municipal hearings and the city will not allow them to compete the structure and refuses to issue a building permit after theirs expired. The city refuses to dismiss $20,000 in fines so the residents plan to move ahead and file an appeal at the circuit court level in DuPage County.
