Sports Illustrated has released its annual list of the top 25 high school rushers in the state of Illinois, and one name that stands out locally is Robert Lee, a senior from West Chicago Community High School. Lee has been turning heads with his remarkable performances on the football field this season.
Standing at 5-foot-11, Lee has demonstrated his dominance as a running back early in the season. He made a solid start in Week 1 with 144 rushing yards and a touchdown, but he truly exploded in Week 2. In a thrilling game against Joliet Central, Lee nearly doubled his offensive output, running for an astounding 293 yards and three touchdowns. His most impressive play of the night came when he dashed 90 yards for a score, leaving the defense in his wake.
Lee’s early-season performance has earned him a well-deserved spot among the elite high school rushers in Illinois. His speed, agility, and ability to break through defenses have made him a standout player and a key part of West Chicago’s offensive strategy this year.
As the season progresses, fans and scouts alike will be watching Lee to see if he continues his surge up the rankings. One thing is certain: Robert Lee is making his mark in Illinois high school football.
