The City of West Chicago’s Cultural Arts Commission is inviting artists from across the region and the nation to participate in the annual West Chicago Art Banner Exhibit. The event, a highlight of the city’s downtown area, will run from the second week of May through the last week of August.
This year’s theme, Sustenance/Sustento, challenges artists to explore the concept of sustenance in its many forms. From physical nourishment and vitality to the emotional, cultural, and spiritual elements that sustain us, the theme offers a broad canvas for creative interpretation.
There is no fee to submit artwork, and the submission deadline is Friday, February 14. Artists may submit up to three pieces, and all forms of media are welcome, provided they align with the theme.
