WEST CHICAGO – A Warrenville man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after police found him slumped over the wheel of a parked vehicle in front of a closed business.
According to West Chicago police, officers discovered Eduardo Correa-Vargas, 32, of Warrenville, Illinois, inside a black Jeep Grand Cherokee on Feb. 19 at approximately 12:28 a.m. The vehicle was parked in front of Mr. A’s Liquor on Neltnor Boulevard, which was closed at the time.
Upon making contact, officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol and observed Correa-Vargas exhibiting multiple signs of impairment. After conducting standardized field sobriety tests, which he failed, officers administered a preliminary breath test that registered a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .163, more than double the legal limit.
Further investigation revealed that Correa-Vargas did not have a valid driver’s license and that this was his second DUI offense.
He was arrested and transported to the West Chicago Police Department, where he refused a blood draw. Correa-Vargas was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI), operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, and being in a suspicious vehicle.
He was later released on a recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 28, 2025.

Después de realizar pruebas de sobriedad de campo estandarizadas, que no pasó, los oficiales le administraron una prueba de aliento preliminar que registró una concentración de alcohol en sangre (BAC) de .163, más del doble del límite legal.
Una investigación posterior reveló que Correa-Vargas no tenía una licencia de conducir válida y que este era su segundo delito por conducir bajo la influencia del alcohol.
Fue arrestado y trasladado al Departamento de Policía de West Chicago, donde se negó a que le extrajeran sangre. Correa-Vargas fue acusado de conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol (DUI), operar un vehículo de motor sin una licencia válida y estar en un vehículo sospechoso.
Posteriormente fue puesto en libertad bajo fianza y está previsto que comparezca ante el tribunal el 28 de marzo de 2025.
