WEST CHICAGO – Residents will have the opportunity to meet Mayor Ruben Pineda while enjoying food from some of the city’s top eateries at the upcoming Taste of West Chicago event. The gathering will take place on Friday, March 14, at 6 p.m. at the American Legion, located at 123 Main St., West Chicago.
This event offers an opportunity for West Chicagoans to engage with Mayor Pineda ahead of the upcoming election on April 1. Attendees will have the chance to discuss local issues, share their concerns, and learn more about the mayor’s vision for the future of the city.
In addition to the meet-and-greet, guests can sample complimentary food from a variety of local restaurants, including Hawthorne’s Backyard, Tampico, Raised Bakery & Café, Egg Yolk Café, The Slice Spot, and several others. Live music will be provided by Sammy & The Knights, adding to the community atmosphere of the evening.
The event is paid for by Citizens for Pineda, and a copy of their financial report is available through the Illinois State Board of Elections.
With election season in full swing, this gathering provides a unique chance for residents to engage in civic dialogue while celebrating the vibrant food culture of West Chicago.
