The countdown is on for Opening Night at Northwestern Medicine Field as the Kane County Cougars—fresh off their 2024 championship win—prepare to launch the 2025 season with a weekend full of fun, giveaways, and family-friendly promotions.
The action begins Thursday, May 8, with the highly anticipated Opening Night Thirsty Thursday. Fans can enjoy $2 beer, pop, and half-price hot dogs throughout the evening. The first 1,500 guests through the gates will also receive a commemorative Opening Night cap, courtesy of Northwestern Medicine. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the first pitch is at 6:30 p.m.
The excitement continues on Friday, May 9, with a Magnetic Schedule Giveaway for the first 1,500 fans and a dazzling post-game fireworks show. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. start against the Sioux City Explorers.
Saturday, May 10, rounds out the opening homestand with another Magnetic Schedule Giveaway, entertainment by The Clash Drumline, and another stunning fireworks finale. Like Friday, gates open at 5:00 p.m., and the game begins at 6:30 p.m.
All three nights promise a festive, community-driven atmosphere as the Cougars mark the unofficial start of summer and invite fans to cheer on their hometown team.
