City Council to vote on ordinance October 6 at City Hall

The City of West Chicago has announced a public hearing to be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 475 Main Street, inside the Council Chambers. At that time, the City Council will consider the passage of an ordinance authorizing a Jurisdictional Boundary Line Agreement with the Village of Carol Stream.

The agreement is designed to formally establish the municipal boundary between the two communities and clarify which areas will fall under the jurisdiction of each municipality moving forward. City officials say the revised boundary line will provide long-term planning clarity and help prevent future disputes over annexation, development, and services.

The public is encouraged to attend the hearing, ask questions, and provide feedback.

This is a chance for residents, business owners, and community advocates to be heard on how this boundary decision may affect them or the future of the city.

Those who cannot attend in person can contact the West Chicago Community Development Department in advance for more information. The full legal description of the proposed boundary is being published in this article.

For additional information, residents can also reach out to the Community Development Department at (630) 293-2200 ext. 139 or 223.
