WEST CHICAGO, Ill. — The West Chicago City Council will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 475 Main Street. Residents are encouraged to attend and participate, especially during the public participation segment early in the meeting.
The agenda includes a variety of action items, presentations, and discussions that touch on zoning, infrastructure, community programming, and municipal code amendments.
Key Highlights from the Agenda
1. Presentation: General Fund
City staff will give a presentation regarding the city’s General Fund, likely outlining budget allocations, current financial health, and long-term planning initiatives.
2. Approval of Minutes & Disbursement Report
Council will review and potentially approve the minutes from the September 2 meeting and vote on the Corporate Disbursement Report totaling $1,141,614.71.

A Downtown Investment Program Grant Agreement with Jose Oscar Muñoz for a project at 116 Main Street is headed to committee for further review.
5. Unfinished Business
A previously introduced ordinance (No. 25-O-0029) regarding a new Municipal Grocery Retailers’ Occupation Tax and Municipal Grocery Service Occupation Tax for West Chicago will return for further discussion.
6. New Business
Two important administrative matters will be addressed:
