Two of West Chicago’s own police officers have once again been recognized for their outstanding commitment to keeping our roads safe. Officers Bertany and Chapman were honored in Springfield by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) with the MADD Hero Award.
This is the second year in a row the officers have received the award, which is given to law enforcement professionals who go above and beyond in their efforts to prevent impaired driving. MADD presents the award to those who dedicate themselves to reducing the number of drug- and alcohol-related crashes, making communities safer for everyone.
Congratulations to Officers Bertany and Chapman on this well-deserved recognition. West Chicago is fortunate to have officers so dedicated to protecting residents.

Oficiales de West Chicago Honrados como Héroes de MADD
Dos de nuestros propios oficiales de policía de West Chicago han sido reconocidos una vez más por su destacado compromiso en mantener seguras nuestras carreteras. Los oficiales Bertany y Chapman fueron homenajeados en Springfield por Madres contra los Conductores Ebrios (MADD) con el Premio Héroe de MADD.
Este es el segundo año consecutivo que reciben este reconocimiento, el cual se otorga a los profesionales de la ley que van más allá en sus esfuerzos por prevenir la conducción bajo los efectos del alcohol o las drogas. MADD entrega este premio a quienes se dedican a reducir el número de choques relacionados con sustancias, haciendo que las comunidades sean más seguras para todos.
