The curtain is rising once again at West Chicago Community High School, as Wego Drama kicks off its season with The New Margo, a suspenseful and witty production about a group of college women obsessed with crime thrillers. When one of them suddenly undergoes a mysterious transformation, the friends set out to uncover the truth—blurring the lines between fiction and reality.
The show, part of this year’s Wego Drama theme “Life Is A Mystery!”, promises an evening full of intrigue, humor, and unexpected twists.
Student director Jordin Crudup shared her excitement about leading the production, saying, “I’m glad that I have the opportunity to do something new. I feel proud of the cast and crew for the work that we are doing. I am exceptionally proud to share it with the community. I hope everyone comes and enjoys the thrills.”
The talented cast and crew represent several nearby communities. From Carol Stream are Ava Bloniarz and Micaela Jaramillo Acosta. Representing West Chicago are Abigail Ballard, Perla Bucio, Charlotte Conger, Jordin Crudup, Dilan Galvan, Daisy Munoz, Elisa O’Brien, and Emma Duran Rosales. From Winfield are Tyler Benton and Ja’Nayah Villa.
The production is student-directed by Crudup, with Christopher Jensen serving as Technical Director and Designer, and Mark Begovich as the Wego Drama sponsor. The New Margo was written by Stephen Gregg and is presented by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing of Woodstock, Illinois.
Performances will take place on October 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. in the West Chicago Community High School auditorium, located at 326 Joliet Street. Tickets will be available at the door for $10, and admission is free for West Chicago Community High School students.

WEST CHICAGO, Ill. — 10 de octubre de 2025 — Las luces del teatro vuelven a encenderse en la Escuela Secundaria Comunitaria de West Chicago, donde el grupo Wego Drama da inicio a su temporada con The New Margo, una obra llena de suspenso y humor sobre un grupo de jóvenes universitarias obsesionadas con las historias de crimen.
