The first conference match of the year for the girls golf team at WCCHS unfortunately saw the Wildcats defeated 185-219 against South Elgin. However they’ll be back at it again tonight.
The girls’ varsity golf team will face Glenbard East this evening at 5:30 p.m. at St. Andrews Golf Club in Wedt Chicago.
Across the state, athletic events are already in full swing for the 2023-2024 school year. Competing in unseasonably high temperatures and elevated humidity always poses concern for our Wildcats no matter the sport. Check out this West Chicago Voice article on Athletics in the heat.
In light of the recent heat advisories from the National Weather Service Wednesday and Thursday, athletes and fans are cautioned to remember to stay hydrated. Coaches will communicate any changes or modifications to schedule should one arise. Keep an eye on the WCCHS Athletics Webpage for updates.
