Main Street Lofts Waitlist Open
Sharing is Caring, WeGo!

A ribbon-cutting event brought out a number of local elected officials and media as the Main Street Lofts Officially Launched. The Association for Individual Development (AID), in collaboration with North Arrow Partners,  hosted the groundbreaking on July 1, 2021. Crews worked hard to complete the project and the official launch and ribbon cutting took place last week August 31, 2023.

Guests were invited to participate in a self-guided tour and enjoy light refreshments as they toured the facilities. West Chicago’s own, Illinois State Senator Karina Villa was in attendance amongst a host of other elected officials and media. The launch of this revolutionary housing idea is expected to have a profoundly positive impact on the community. The building, located at 487 Main Street in West Chicago will offer permanent supportive housing apartments designed for individuals with disabilities (intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and physical disabilities), people experiencing homelessness, and veterans who need ongoing services and support, and those receiving services through AID.
