On September 12, The West Chicago Community High School kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month and the Parent Engagement Series with former Frito Lay Executive and famed creator of the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos brand. Richard Montanez told his inspiring story of going from janitor at Frito Lay, to becoming a top executive for the company. Montanez met with a group of student leaders prior to the event, signed copies of his book and met with fans following the event. Additionally, both school and community resources were available for all participants as well as plenty of Flamin’ Hot snacks and raffle prizes.
