Barbara A. Hughes (nee Danda), age 79, passed away at her home on September 22, 2023. She was born on April 15, 1944, to Adolph and Luella Danda in Chicago.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Clarence “Ren” Hughes of 59 years; her daughters, Cindy (John) Macko and Brenda (Vince) Elders; 6 grandchildren, Morgan (Steven) Hernandez, Courtney, Hayley, Chase, Logan, Cole; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Barbara enjoyed spending time in her yard gardening. Her and Ren could often be found up north at their vacation home doing something outside. Barbara was active with Trinity Lutheran Church in West Chicago. She was a great seamstress, making many costumes for school plays and bridesmaids/flower girl dresses for her daughter’s weddings. Barbara loved to bake, and she enjoyed spending holidays baking cookies with her grandchildren.
