Karen Jean Uelsmann, 62, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, at the Aperion Care nursing home in West Chicago, IL.

Karen was born on August 20, 1961, the third of five children of William and Joyce Uelsmann, and grew up in Bloomingdale, IL. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts projects, cooking meals and baking, going to Girl Scouts and church camps, and mostly just spending time with her family and friends. Karen was very religious and shared her Faith with others. She graduated from Lake Park High School in Roselle, IL and took classes at both the College of DuPage and Elgin Community College. She held several jobs in retail sales and manufacturing and lived her whole life within the DuPage County area.

Karen was preceeded in death by her parents, William and Joyce, and her grandparents, Alfred and Anna Uelsmann, and Albert and Elvira Randolph. She is survived by her 4 brothers and sisters, Keith (Marie) Uelsmann, Janice (Rodney) Dodd, James Uelsmann, and Kathy (Charles) Hofer; plus, her 6 nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Matthew, Jonathan, Kristina, Britney, and Lori.
