Steven Muehlfelt, 61, lifelong resident of Wheaton, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2024. He was born December 30, 1962. Beloved husband of Terri (nee Hebert), for 34 years; loving father of Ryan; dear son of the late Joseph and Marcella Muehlfelt; brother of Lynda (Ron) Schultz, Shirley (Gary) Grossman, Sue (Eric) Givens, Sallie (Paul) Craig, Sindy (Scott) Rogers; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Steve graduated from Wheaton North High School in 1981. He was an entrepreneur at heart. At age 22, Steve started a bar and restaurant with his sister. Later he became a realtor, and then owned a hardwood flooring business. In 2013 he realized his dream when he opened his own restaurant in Winfield – Coopers Corner. Steve is known for his love of people and for throwing large memorable holiday parties. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and mischievous pranks. Many people thought of him as the father or brother they never had. He will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, and mother, Marcella, and siblings, Virginia Clausen, Maryann Schmitz, Harold Muehlfelt, Dean Muehlfelt, Ron Muehlfelt, Joey Muehlfelt, and Dolores McCance.
