Edward J. Posh June 21, 1929 – May 2, 2024

Edward J. Posh, 94, of West Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 2, 2024, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Ed was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1929, to the late James and Mary Posh. He got his first job as a caddie at thirteen years old at Saucon Valley Country Club in 1942 and never left golf thereafter except for two years when he served in the Army in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. After his return from the war, he moved west and eventually settled in Glen Ellyn as the first Head Golf Professional at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn in 1967. He retired from the Village Links in 1995. In his honor, the Ed Posh Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 and continues to this day. While Ed leaves behind an enduring legacy at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn, he also leaves behind a greater legacy in his thirteen children and twenty-four grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ed instilled in everyone he met an unparalleled work ethic, kindness, generosity, respect, and an uncompromising commitment to excellence.

Ed was the devoted father of Michelle Pond, Marea Pond, Molly Molokie, Max Posh, Melissa Posh (John Jacobs), Margaret Posh, Mindy Posh, Matthew (Becky) Posh, Monica Posh, Meredith (Steve) Horvath, Mary Posh, Mitchell Posh, and the late Millicent Posh; proud grandfather of Butch (Cindy) Trompeter, Ryan (Lindsey) Pomrenke, Nicole Pomrenke, Jessica Molokie, Zachary Molokie, Rachel (Stephen) Schmidt, Chas Richards, Dante Richards, Anna Posh, Laura Posh, Isaac Posh, Elijah Posh, Julia Posh, Jacob Horvath, Nate Horvath, Maddie Horvath, Andrew Horvath, Josh Horvath, Vincent Bartucci, Eliah Anderson, and Jacob Anderson; loving great-grandfather of Cameron Trompeter, Charlotte Trompeter, Phoenix Pomrenke, and Eloise Schmidt; beloved son of the late James and Mary Posh; dear brother of Mary Jane Pfeiffer and the late Marion Ganssle, Helen Brady, Alice Schmidt, James Posh, Elizabeth Kilpatrick, and Dorothy Posh.

Memorial Visitation Monday, May 13th from 3 to 9 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187. Celebration of Life will continue Tuesday, May 14th from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Village Links of Glen Ellyn, 485 Winchell Way, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. Services conclude at the Village Links.
