The 18th Judicial Circuit Court is accepting applications for the position of:
Local Council Coordinator
(Part-time, hours vary per week based on project demands)
Starting Salary: $35.00 per hour
This is an Independent Contractor position which is funded by a grant from the Illinois Family Violence Coordinating Council. Position offers some flexible working hours and remote capabilities based on project demands.
Position Duties: The Local Council Coordinator (Coordinator) is a part time position that works as an administrator for the 18th Judicial Circuit Court’s Family Violence Coordinating Council (FVCC) under the direction of the Chief Judge or his designee. The FVCC provides a forum to improve the institutional, professional and community response to family violence. The Coordinator mobilizes resources to efficiently address the council’s needs, assists the council in setting goals and creating realistic approaches to meeting those goals while ensuring that grant obligations and conditions are appropriately complied with, documented, and reported. This position works closely with judges, prosecutors, lawyers, law enforcement, schools, and social service providers.
Qualifications: The successful candidate is self-motivated with excellent communication skills and an ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization and has grant writing experience. J.D or social work experience preferred with at least five years experience in the criminal justice system or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
