Last week, WeGo Together for Kids successfully launched a new initiative: the Mobile Rx Food Distribution. This program aims to provide healthy food choices to a medically vulnerable population while offering a range of essential resources, including medical care, early childhood home visiting, and support for domestic violence survivors.
The event drew a significant turnout, with people lining up an hour before the start time. Volunteers included high school students, mothers, community partners, and interns, all eager to contribute. Even office staff, dressed in pencil skirts and fancy shoes, came out to serve the community.
In just over an hour, the initiative served 160 families, reaching a total of 720 individuals. This impressive effort was made possible through the crucial partnerships with the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Northwestern Medicine, and Timber Lake Apartments.

La semana pasada, WeGo Together for Kids lanzó con éxito una nueva iniciativa: la distribución de alimentos con receta móvil.
