J. Michael Bentley, 82 of Winfield was reunited with his beloved wife, Patti after passing away on Sunday, August 4th surrounded by members of his loving family.
He was born on August 6, 1941 in Hinsdale, IL. He was a 1958 graduate of St. Procopius Academy (Benet Academy) in Lisle, IL and a 1962 graduate of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Upon graduation from Notre Dame, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for three years as an air defense officer, achieving the rank of Captain. His service included a deployment to Vietnam. After serving his country he joined the family business until 1999 when he became a revenue analyst for the Illinois Department of Employment Security. He retired in 2015. He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband.
Loving father of William (Sarah), Brendan (Laura), and Bridget (Gavin) Coyle; cherished grandpa of Olivia (River) Petty, McKenna, Ian and Luke Bentley and Fiona, Niamh and Orla Coyle, Ashley (Blake) Samperi, Shelby (Geoff) Mills, and Scott (Olivia) Prutch, adored son of the late Paul and Mary Bentley, devoted brother of the late Paul Bentley, Judy Seger, Barb Walhood and Pat Ruddy.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 11th from 2pm until 6pm at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, August 12th at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Church, Winfield. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery immediately following mass. J. Michael Bentley, de 82 años de Winfield, se reunió con su amada esposa, Patti, después de fallecer el domingo 4 de agosto rodeado de miembros de su querida familia.
Nació el 6 de agosto de 1941 en Hinsdale, IL. Se graduó en 1958 de la Academia St. Procopius (Academia Benet) en Lisle, IL y en 1962 de la Universidad de Notre Dame en South Bend, IN. Tras graduarse en Notre Dame, sirvió con orgullo en el Cuerpo de Marines de los Estados Unidos durante tres años como oficial de defensa aérea, alcanzando el rango de capitán. Su servicio incluyó un despliegue en Vietnam. Después de servir a su país, se unió al negocio familiar hasta 1999, cuando se convirtió en analista de ingresos del Departamento de Seguridad del Empleo de Illinois. Se jubiló en 2015. El velatorio se llevará a cabo el domingo 11 de agosto de 2:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. en la funeraria Williams-Kampp, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (una cuadra al este de Naperville Road), Wheaton. La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el lunes 12 de agosto a las 10:30 a. m. en la iglesia St. John the Baptist, Winfield.
