Patricia A. Murphy (nee Karvatt), age 88, longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on August 20, 2024. She was born on January 4, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Ruth Karvatt. Patricia was a world-renowned dog breeder. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack Murphy; sons, Barry (Miriam) Murphy and Alan (Tammie) Murphy; daughter, Kim Earhart; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Katherine Lake.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Norris-Segert Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. Prayers were said on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home and there was a procession to St. Mary’s Church, 164 N.
