Dia de los Muertos: Take Home Picture Frame Kits

Stop by the library anytime from 9/15-9/30 to pick up a picture frame for our public Día de los Muertos ofrenda! (Day of the Dead altar) Kits will be available for pick up at the Circulation Desk.  What’s inside? 4×6 photo frame with accessories to decorate.  Please use a copy of a photograph of a loved one who has passed away if you would like to participate in our public ofrenda. Once the frame is decorated and a photo is placed inside, we encourage you to return the frame to the Adult Services department so your loved one may be honored on our public ofrenda. Please return finished frames labeled with your name and phone number on the back before October, 1st. The ofrenda will be on display for the community to commemorate during the entire month of October. Patrons may pick up their frame from the Adult Services department after November 2nd. In celebration of this year’s October 14 annual eclipse and NASA’s newest space telescope mission with the James Webb Space Telescope, we’re launching a very cosmic reading challenge.
